Description
Tzatziki is a classic Greek mezze that adds a refreshing touch to any meal, made with yogurt, cucumber, and garlic.
Ingredients

- 1 cucumber
- 500 g Greek yogurt
- 2–3 cloves garlic
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Fresh dill (optional)
Instructions
- Grate the cucumber and place it in a strainer. Add some salt and let it drain for about 30 minutes to remove excess water.
- In a bowl, mix the Greek yogurt, finely chopped garlic, olive oil, and vinegar.
- Once the cucumber has drained, squeeze it to remove more water. Add it to the yogurt mixture.
- Season with salt and pepper to your taste. If desired, add chopped fresh dill.
- Mix well and refrigerate for at least one hour before serving.
Notes
Serve chilled. Tzatziki is perfect with pita bread, crunchy vegetables, or as a side dish for grilled meats.
