- 1 English Cucumber
- 1 cup Cherry Tomatoes
- 1 cup Mozzarella Pearls (Bocconcini)
- 1 Red Onion
- Fresh Basil
- 2 tablespoons Olive Oil (Extra Virgin)
- 2 tablespoons Balsamic Glaze
- Salt, to taste
- Black Pepper, to taste
- Red Chili Flakes, to taste
Instructions
- Wash and dry all the vegetables. Slice the English cucumber into 1/4-inch rounds.
- Cut the cherry tomatoes in half and finely slice the red onion.
- In a large salad bowl or serving dish, combine the cucumber rounds, halved tomatoes, sliced red onion, and drained mozzarella pearls.
- Drizzle the salad with extra virgin olive oil. Sprinkle generously with salt, coarse black pepper, and chili flakes (if desired).
- Gently mix the salad to coat all ingredients with oil and seasonings.
- Insert fresh basil leaves into the salad by tearing them to release their aroma.
- Just before serving, drizzle balsamic glaze over the top in a zigzag pattern.
- Serve immediately for maximum crunch.
Notes
For best results, use high-quality ingredients: ripe tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, and aromatic basil. Adjust seasonings to taste. Add chickpeas for extra protein if desired.
