Description

A quick and easy creamy chicken dish with orzo, perfect for a comforting weeknight dinner.


Ingredients

  • 300 g orzo
  • 500 g chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 750 ml chicken broth
  • 250 ml heavy cream
  • 100 g grated parmesan
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and cook until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  2. Add onion and garlic to the same skillet, sautéing until translucent.
  3. Stir in the orzo and mix for 1 to 2 minutes.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and cook until the orzo is tender.
  5. Mix in the cream and parmesan, then return the chicken to the skillet.
  6. Season with salt and pepper. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Add spinach or sun-dried tomatoes for more flavor and nutrition. Adjust spices to your personal taste.
