A simple and delightful marble chocolate cake that stays moist for days.

- 5 eggs
- 125 g all-purpose flour
- 125 g melted butter
- 125 g sugar
- 1 packet vanilla sugar
- 125 g dark chocolate
- 1 packet baking powder
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Separate the egg whites from the yolks. Whisk the yolks with the sugar until pale, then add the last whole egg.
- Incorporate the melted butter, then add the sifted flour and baking powder. Mix until homogeneous.
- Divide the batter in two, adding vanilla sugar to one half and melted dark chocolate to the other.
- Whip the egg whites until stiff peaks form and gently fold them into both batters.
- Grease a loaf pan and pour the batters alternately to create the marbled effect.
- Bake for about 35 minutes, then let cool before unmolding.
Notes
Serve slices with coffee, tea, or custard for added creaminess, and top with icing sugar or a shiny ganache.
