Description

A simple, nutritious, and economical Moroccan lentil dish that is comforting and full of flavor.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup lentilles
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tomatoes, diced
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp coriander
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Rinse the lentilles.
  2. In a pressure cooker, heat the olive oil and sauté the onion and minced garlic until soft.
  3. Add the diced tomatoes, lentils, cumin, coriander, salt, and pepper.
  4. Cover with water and mix well.
  5. Close the pressure cooker and cook under pressure for about 15-20 minutes.
  6. Release the pressure, open the pot, and check the lentils’ doneness.
  7. Serve hot.

Notes

Serve the lentils hot with a drizzle of olive oil and fresh coriander. They can be paired with Moroccan bread, rice, or a simple salad.
