Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup warm water
- 1/2 pound ground meat (choice of chicken, lamb, or beef)
- 1 cup chopped vegetables (carrots, onions, bell peppers)
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon coriander
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- Vegetable oil (for frying)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix flour and salt. Gradually add warm water while stirring to form a smooth dough.
- Knead the dough for about 10 minutes and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- Meanwhile, prepare the filling by cooking the ground meat with chopped vegetables and spices. Let it cool.
- Once the dough has rested, divide it into small balls and roll each into a thin disc.
- Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each disc and fold the dough to enclose the filling.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook each msemen until golden and crispy on both sides.
- Serve hot, with sauce or vegetables for added flavor.
Notes
For best results, ensure the dough is well-kneaded and do not overstuff the msemen to prevent tearing.
