- 4 apples
- 100 g flour
- 80 g sugar
- 3 eggs
- 250 ml milk
- 1 packet baking powder
- 1 pinch salt
- Icing sugar for decoration
- Salted caramel (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (thermostat 6).
- Peel and slice the apples thinly.
- In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the eggs one by one while mixing well, then incorporate the milk until you get a smooth batter.
- Gently fold the apple slices into the batter.
- Pour the mixture into a buttered and floured mold.
- Bake for about 35-40 minutes.
- Let cool, then decorate with icing sugar and optionally a bit of salted caramel before serving.
Notes
Cut the apples very thin for the ‘invisible’ texture. Do not overload the mold for even cooking. Check doneness with a knife; it should come out clean.
