Description

A light and fluffy cake filled with tender apple slices, perfect for a snack or simple dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 apples
  • 100 g flour
  • 80 g sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 250 ml milk
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • Icing sugar for decoration
  • Salted caramel (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (thermostat 6).
  2. Peel and slice the apples thinly.
  3. In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Add the eggs one by one while mixing well, then incorporate the milk until you get a smooth batter.
  5. Gently fold the apple slices into the batter.
  6. Pour the mixture into a buttered and floured mold.
  7. Bake for about 35-40 minutes.
  8. Let cool, then decorate with icing sugar and optionally a bit of salted caramel before serving.

Notes

Cut the apples very thin for the ‘invisible’ texture. Do not overload the mold for even cooking. Check doneness with a knife; it should come out clean.
