Description

Crispy, light, and quick-to-make zucchini fries that transform a simple vegetable into a delicious snack or side dish loved by all.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium zucchinis
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup panko (Japanese breadcrumbs)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Spices of your choice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 220°C (428°F) or prepare the grill.
  2. Cut the zucchinis into fries (about 1 cm thick) for even cooking.
  3. Lightly salt the cut zucchinis and let sit for 10 minutes if they are juicy, then pat dry with paper towels.
  4. In a bowl, mix olive oil, salt, pepper, and any desired spices to coat each fry evenly.
  5. Dunk the zucchini sticks into the panko mixed with Parmesan, pressing slightly to adhere.
  6. Arrange the fries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, ensuring they aren’t overlapping.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, turning halfway through to brown all sides.
  8. Serve hot and crispy.

Notes

For best results, ensure even sizes for the fries. Don’t overcrowd the baking sheet for better crisping.
