Description

Crispy Pretzel Chicken features crunchy pretzel coating and tender chicken drizzled with a creamy mustard-cheddar sauce, perfect for both kids and adults.


Ingredients

  • 4 pieces of chicken (thighs or breasts)
  • 1 cup of flour
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 2 cups of crushed pretzels
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 cup of mustard
  • 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup of sour cream
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. In a bowl, combine flour, paprika, garlic powder, and salt.
  3. Dip each piece of chicken in flour, then in beaten eggs, and finally in crushed pretzels.
  4. Place chicken on a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and crispy.
  5. Meanwhile, prepare the sauce by mixing mustard, cheddar cheese, and sour cream in a small saucepan over low heat until the cheese is melted.
  6. Serve chicken hot with mustard-cheddar sauce.

Notes

For extra crispiness, press the pretzels firmly around the chicken after coating. Don’t overcrowd the baking sheet.
