Description

A simple and delicious chocolate cake that’s easy to make and perfect for sharing.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 200g dark chocolate
  • 150g sugar
  • 150g butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 100g flour
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (356°F).
  2. Melt the chocolate and butter together in a double boiler.
  3. In a bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until frothy.
  4. Incorporate the chocolate-butter mixture into the egg-sugar mixture.
  5. Add the flour, baking powder, and salt, and mix until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased and floured cake pan.
  7. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
  8. Let cool before removing from the pan and serving.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a light custard.
